This is the first article I am writing.
Later on, I will talk about programming, design, marketing, and my values.
But it feels easier for me to begin with esotericism.
Because to me, creativity comes through spirituality.
I will stop the suspense here.
The cardboard box represents the mental box.
The cat is inside it, while the elephant stands on top of it.
The message is: My mental box, I rise above.
From this transcendental act, the cardboard box becomes the deliverable.
The cat inside the box represents the front-end because it is cute.
The front-end is the interface developed with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
The elephant represents the back-end because it is technically heavier.
Also because I mainly program in PHP, whose historic logo is an elephant.
What is a mental box?
It is the set of beliefs we identify with and no longer dare to question.
Cats love cardboard boxes: this is the comfortable side of the mental box.
The elephant crushes the cardboard box by sitting on it because it is larger than the framework of its own beliefs.
When we are too identified with our mental box — the close horizon of our own beliefs — we struggle to see clearly.
But when we take a step back, we can become creative, meaning we can go beyond the common denominator.
Knowing one’s mental box well is the first step: the birth of consciousness.
Awareness is the second step, where one can detach from the known.
Our mental box is our human nature, something we share with others.
But we are also spiritual beings whose only limits are those of imagination.
The client challenges my mental box, and I challenge the client’s mental box.
So we turn both our mental boxes into a universal deliverable with a touch of creativity.
In the sentence “Websites with an idea.”, the idea is alive: it is the cat.
Whereas in “Web apps beyond the template.”, it is the elephant that does not correspond to any preconceived label.
There are other hidden meanings.
The cat represents the domestic aspect because at home I have four cats and live in a small village.
The elephant represents abroad, because I also wish to work nationally and internationally.
There is also a fit/fat duality.
The cat easily fits into the box, just as it fits naturally into social situations: it is a seducer!
The elephant is slightly awkward and uncomfortable: it represents the part of me that enjoys taking risks.
The process of creating the deliverable reconciles these different aspects.
So, I hope you enjoyed this and that it has lifted the veil on this intriguing homepage.
